I have recently been selected for the Diploma in Addiction Psychology and Rehabilitation Counseling. My academic background and interests align with Clinical Psychology, with a special focus on addiction, rehabilitation, and community-based interventions. I am inspired by professionals like Areej Fazili, who specialized in Clinical Psychology at Amity University and extended her work into areas such as addiction, counseling, and community mental health initiatives. What I admire most is the way she integrates clinical expertise with community development through organizations like the Kashmir Education Initiative. Similarly, my goal is to strengthen my skills in counseling, therapeutic interventions like CBT and Motivational Interviewing, and rehabilitation strategies, so that I can contribute both at the individual and community level. I believe this diploma will help me develop a stronger foundation in understanding the psychological and social aspects of addiction, while also preparing me to assist individuals in their recovery and reintegration into society.
