I am a trained Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. I work with adolescents and adults on both short term and long term to address psychological and psychosocial issues. My approach is to build a non-hierarchical relationship of trust and respect with clients in a non-judgmental space. I accompany them in the journey of changing their nature of distress. It is when we are able to bear and articulate the unspeakable and painful parts of the self that we are able to reduce psychological distress.

Our first consultation will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end of the evaluation, I will be able to offer you some first impressions of what our work will include and how we will proceed (frequency of sessions, long term/short term) that will be mutually decided, if you decide to continue with therapy. You should evaluate this information along with your own opinions about whether you feel comfortable working with me. At the end of the evaluation, I will also notify you if I believe that I am not the right therapist for you. Therapy involves a large commitment of time, money, and energy. You are encouraged to share any feeling of fear, doubt or concern about the psychotherapy process during the sessions whenever they arise.
